In short, Brits are only going to be allowed to leave their houses for the following:

- To shop for food and basic necessities
- Exercise once per day
- Any medical need
- Travelling to and from work

If they are caught doing otherwise, they may be fined by the police. They have basically shut down all businesses etc for the next 3 weeks.

In the video posted in the above message, the author comments a medical paper titled "Influenza vaccination and respiratory virus interference among Department of Defense personnel during the 2017-2018 influenza season"

The researchers tested among 6,000 US soldiers how the influenza vaccine might increase the risk of other respiratory viruses.

Part of the conclusion is interesting:

Vaccine derived virus interference was significantly associated with coronavirus and human metapneumovirus; however, significant protection with vaccination was associated not only with most influenza viruses, but also parainfluenza, RSV, and non-influenza virus coinfections.

In layman's terms, this influenza vaccine tested on US troops increased the risk of getting coronavirus. The strain(s) are not specified.

One might wonder how an influenza vaccine increases the risk of getting coronavirus. Did this vaccine contain "dead" coronavirus that is after all not so "dead" hence the increase prevalence of coronavirus among the vaccinated soldiers?

Is this paper about the vaccine that gave birth the COV-19?

It is difficult to say without extra data but the target population (US soldiers), the virus interference (coronavirus) and the timing (winter 17-18, that is 2,5 years ago, while the virus escaped 2 years ago) seem to match.

Having just heard from Johnson on the news, I legged it down to my corner shop for tobacco (I only had about 8g left). Bought 2 pouches to tide me over. Not my fave brand of baccy but it'll do. Phew! From now I'll only be out to pick up my meds and some food. Crazy, crazy times.

You just write an attestation for yourself. It basically says: " I, hereby ME, authorize ME, to go to this place. Signed by ME". You even need it to go walk your dog outside your house.

I know it's crazy. But after all we've been living in a crazy world for a while, it just got crazier a notch or two over the past few weeks.

It is only about obedience and subservience, less logical and ridiculous thus better. As every step enforced is more and more based less on common sense, with time and familiriality it becomes normal thing, and in circus circle round and round we go.

We are not that fortunate (or rather perhaps haven't been that wise), so if clients stop paying, we will be wiped out financially within a few months I guess. We joked that we can still help with the harvest - because now all the eastern European workers can't get in to help, duh! Seriously though, now is the time to think about business ideas. Every crisis is an opportuuunity!

Maybe it would be a good thing to try with face masks, the prices are going astronomical in this panic.

Today my boss weren't at work, and I was told he was home because of fear of corona. I had asked him some weeks ago if he was afraid of corona, and he said he was very afraid. He had some heart issues not so long ago, that's all I know. We were supposed to have an meeting tomorrow but I were told to have it with someone else (his boss), because I just got hired, as I previously just had an form of internship.

I don't think I have had the virus and I don't think I will get it. Subjectively, I felt that the virus has gone on a low, at-least in my mind. It sort of feels like before all this madness, and now headlines are just headlines and restrictions just restrictions (though it hasn't affected me much). The latest Cassiopaean session and this thread has also been very helpful in that regard, in that I feel safe (for now).

I never have fevers but had them as a child, but barley remember it. Otherwise I usually just get a sore throat once a year or so, though as I recall these last 2 years haven't had any sore throat at all. Last time I was sick was in 2017. My friend had double pneumonia and we hung out playing video games, talking, smoking etc on a daily basis - then I developed a cough.

But earlier that year, something happened to me (which I wrote about here: Papez). I suspect I could have had a short fever there because I switched from being hot to freezing, back and forth, maybe for 30 minutes or less.

One thing I do, though, is sneezing. I sneeze one or several times everyday basically, throughout the year.

Despite knowing this was coming its still shook me a little. It's like a nightmare you can't wake up from. You keep thinking it's gonna end but it just gets worse and worse.

Maybe that's an exaggeration. At least it's not like soviet Russia or something (yet). But it looks like the fun times are very much over for the west and looks like now is the time to be very prudent and careful as we are dragged into this Wetiko totalitarian madness.

seems things have been taken to the next step today in NC. i got this off reddit.. one of the comments was asking why we are 'behind' and haven't been issued a shelter in place order yet lol. so absurd.

as i mentioned a couple days ago, i am grateful to still be working (i work at a car dealership) but if this is the start of this week, i feel by this time next week, all non-essential may very well be closed.

ah well, we'll see.

i wanted to take a moment to thank you all so much for this thread. it has been a little difficult for me and i was writing last night how i have been feeling alone. i am trying to plant some seeds in my girlfriend and she seems receptive.. but she seems receptive because i believe it.. if that makes sense. she believes it because i believe it but i feel like she hasn't/ can't/doesn't want to accept it on her own accord.

i know i have done what i can.. that it is selfish to push any farther so i won't be doing so. this thread is keeping me grounded and for that, i am glad to have found you all. we are currently staying at her parent's house as we have been saving up for buying a house but the world seems to have taken a hard right and we are gonna need to adjust. her father has been diagnosed with parkinson's so i do know she is quite worried about what will happen if he stops receiving his meds (which work well for him). only time will tell. i feel i'm attempting to think too far ahead so i will chill out. writing all this has helped calm the thoughts, very cool.

anyways, for the third time, thank you all. i'll continue riding this wave.

On the other hand, based on information from the latest session, we could assume that the more harsher their actions are, the more they have in their pants, i.e. the undesired side effect of this virus is making them sick.
