Olympic games in Paris (2024)

I don't think these woke groups (gay, civil rights, ect.) could ever have gained momentum without legal representation. So, are these groups pawns to white collar industry? You could argue on any topic into infinity with legalities. At some point someone will say: 'a man is a man, a woman is a woman, there is nothing that can change that'.
'Not so fast!', says the medical industry, who have a stake in their own piece of the pie. They'll take both sides too.
Then there'll be fundraising by all sides to keep the fiasco running, because it is their bread and butter. And politicians promising to resolve all this... It's ongoing.
Who are we in all this? Ordinary people who don't understand the nature of free enterprise? Its run amok, as we struggle to keep jobs in a shrinking economy, don't see how industries are organized enough manufacture their own livelihoods by social engineering.

Like a fire fighter setting fires:

'Rights!' shout the legal profession.

'Health!' shout the medical industry.

'Order!' shout the politicians.

It's like funny money. No value other than to keep themselves busy. Sure, they are valuable in themselves, but in a ideal world, they would not be needed, there is no measure of balance - just a bottomless need to sink or swim.

Yeah... and even leaving aside the woke policies and terror of "discriminating", what kind of merit or pride/satisfaction is there in winning because you have a disorder, and not skills? What a world.
Well, I think most normal human beings have this idea of "being a good sport" and most of us recognize in another the effort it takes to achieve greatness, and we respect it. We respect defeating a larger opponent, finally seeing the outcome of years worth of effort, dedication, discipline and sacrifice. That's why it is said that there's nothing more inspiring than being in the presence of greatness, it reflects back to us what we can achieve if we choose to do so. And this is what the olympics used to represent, this is why Lance Armstrong was such a scandal all those years ago, he was cheating.

But! there's another group for whom victory is far more important, it's the end justify the means crowd. It's the people who have a drive to abuse and beat those less powerful for the rush of victory and submitting a lesser being. It's the same story as the people who join the military so they can legally shoot other people. For some people, it's not about the effort it takes to compete, there's no sportsmanship, for them it's about winning, even if it means fighting women when you're a man. It's pathological no matter where you look at it from, even if it's someone who's confused and traumatized, it's still pathological I think.
