Hello.
I'll tell you that last Saturday I had an appointment with the traumatologist and he removed the stitches. The wounds are still healing, but they are going well, they are very small and sometimes I have a little pain but it is temporary.
This week is my third week with the sling, I am more adapted and I no longer feel anxiety. The first week gave me a lot of anxiety especially at night because I had a lot of pain in the elbow, I did not sleep well. The doctor told me that my elbow hurt because the liquid from the inflammation of the shoulder went down to the elbow. The good thing is that the anti-inflammatory was enough to take away the pain. He prescribed an opioid derivative but I have not needed to take it.
On Saturday when I had my appointment, the play changed a little and I was very scared and worried.
At first he had told me that I would be immobilized for 6 weeks but that after 4 weeks I would begin to do passive and assisted movements.
What changed is that I am now doing two passive and assisted exercises twice a day, he told me that I needed to do these exercises because he was worried that because of the arthritis the shoulder would stick quickly if there was no movement.
I was very scared because in my research on everything it said that it should not move before at least 4 weeks. On Sunday my husband wrote to the doctor again to ask him if it was safe to do those movements and if they did not put the surgery at risk and apparently those gentle movements are fine.
I have been doing them since yesterday and I have been feeling good, little pain, I am doing them at my own pace, respecting my body and breathing. He told me to take the opioid derivative for the pain because it was going to hurt because of the movement but that has not been the case, I only take paracetamol every 24 hours and cold therapy and that is enough. I am taking bovine colostrum, vitamin k12, vitamin d3, boron, hydroxiquloroquine. I started two weeks ago to take bone broth on an empty stomach as well.
I have to wear the sling until 6 weeks and only take it off for exercises. I still sleep in my recliner but I am sleeping well now.
Next week I will return to my yoga classes in a chair for the time being and I have already started to let my consultants know that I can see them for their therapy sessions.
I almost forgot the day I was discharged the doctor mentioned that my rotator cuff tendon that he supposedly had gone, but he was surprised to find that I did have that tendon but it was not visible because I had a lot of scar tissue, however my tendon was no longer of good quality.
We still do not know if the graft worked or if my body accepted it until I have an MRI later.
Please continue to pray for the graft to integrate. Thank you all for your support.
