Qui sont ces "autres groupes terroristes" ? Peut-être que ceux ceux-là à qui l'Occident de réfère lorsqu'il fait allusion à des victimes innocentes ?

In the fourth comment, there is another one :

Hollande a besoin du soutien de Madame Merkel. Ouf ! Ils doivent avoir bien peur... Vont-ils revenir sur leurs pas, faute de choix ? Ou vont-ils prepétrer le cirque propagandiste de ces derniers temps, suivant les instructions de Washington ?

Voyez-vous la grande contradiction ? D'un côté, l'Occident est parfaitement d'accord pour soutenir en armes et munitions des mercenaires criminels, contre un gouvernement élu par voie démocratique, et luttant contre l'État Islamique. Mais si la Russie ose aide qui que ce soit après le Coupe d'État en Ukraine, là on se fâche. Un très bon exemple illustrant à quel point l'Occident a deux poids, deux mesures.

Dans notree société gouvernée par des psychopathes, rien d'étonnant à ce que la « justice » protège les criminels ou leur trouve des circonstances atténuantes (troubles mentaux, enfance « difficile », isolation sociale...).

There's a typo : notre(e)
And there is a (nowadays common) mistake : isolation instead of isolement.
In French, isolation means insulation (thermic, phonic or electrical), while isolement means isolation (false-friend !).

...indeed a French word (and of course an English one), but frankly it's the first time in my life that I read (or hear) it - and I'm a native speaker - so I recommend to replace it by "dément" which is a lot more common in French.

I doubt Obama was running the election in Russia in 2012, and I doubt even more that two thirds of Russian voters would have voted for him ! ;)

Well, pretty fluent, able to read and understand news articles. Other than that, we can help you out. There is currently a very good SOTT focus written by the French team, which we would like to have translated into English for the main SOTT page. That may be easier if your French is not SO good. Just some ideas. How good is your French? And thanks for volunteering, no matter what. :)

Well I took french for maybe 5 years in school but that was at least 7 years ago. So I've started going though a neat little course on __duolingo.com this last week to re-familiarize myself and become more fluent. I would say that it is easier for me to read and write but I am in no way 'fluent' I guess. I kind of figured this would be a good way to have more of an immersive approach to help with learning while contributing what little I can to fr.sott.net.

I wasn't sure which article you were referring to so I picked the most recent one that didn't have an author from english SOTT to give an example so that you guys could gauge whether or not I should keep practicing and come back later or start translating now.

I think I understand the differences in how sentences are constructed (i.e. noun-adjective inversion, conjugation, past-tense etc.) but I will probably have some trouble with translating idioms that do not have a direct translation. Also my french vocabulary isn't the greatest but I do plan on using google translate A LOT....at least until my brain begins to retain some of the words without having to think about it.
