Thank you for making this all public, Laura, and thus providing us with another valuable lesson. I'm sorry you and the Chateau crew had to go through this and I hope you all are recovering soon!
It's so sad to see a former SOTT editor to be blinded by his emotions and to not even consider the group's
mirror.
What this whole scenario reminds me of again is that no one, really no one, is exempt from being used and manipulated by the matrix; not even someone who's been working a long time for SOTT.. and how easy it is to fall back into illusions, even though one's goal has been and is truth. I hurt for his soul. If only he could see..
What has really impressed me is the patience you all have been displaying with Sue. I think one of my first thoughts when being faced with such behaviour in my own house would be to want the person to leave. Especially if the person isn't ready to talk and solve existing or imagined problems, but blames the other of being "not nice" when this other is everything but not "not nice" but in fact only concerned and offering help.
I then guess this must be a facet of external consideration? And/or your hopes for them to understand eventually what was actually going on? Or at least of Bob eventually seeing her for who she is and what she is doing and how she has effected all of you, as well as her effects on his life and the child's?
I was at first also optimistic and thought he'll probably see these things about her in his own good time, but his last email to Laura, where he says he's leaving the group, plus his nitpickings.. that does look as if STS has won the battle. But still, who knows for sure. For now he is totally immersed in her game, but maybe he will see some day. As others have said, he and Sue will see their child growing up and that could be a point for him to revisit what has happened in the chateau and what the group has said. Only time will tell.
Again, thanks so much for sharing this with us, Laura! Thanks also for everyone's input! There's so much more food for thought in this.
