So, shortly after I had this conversation with Sue and left it at “I’ll think about it…” I made Ark's breakfast and was taking it upstairs when, for some strange reason, I just fell. In trying to save the plate, I managed to do something to my left leg and right hand. I have two big bruises on the leg and what appears to be a broken little finger on the right hand with a really damaged ligament or chipped bone or something. The knuckle is black under the skin, swollen and very painful. In fact, the whole hand hurts.

Sue came to me again, after lunch and went on about her video again... so I told her that if we had time after Bob did his, and Burma Jones hadn't dropped in his tracks by then (he was already catching the bug), we'd see. I don't think she even thought about the fact of how exhausting it was for us to have to set up the cameras, be present and attentive, go through the whole thing again just so she could present a perfect face. But, if it was really making her so unhappy, I was willing to consider doing it. (I know that everyone else did NOT want to do this because by this time, about everyone in the house was sick except me, Ailén, Burma Jones, Ark and Sue. Bob was, of course, still just recovering.)

Good grief!! Half this post sounds like a scene from The Omen.
Just a suggestion Laura, but have yawl considered putting a padlock on the OUTSIDE of your guest room door? Might come in handy the next time visitors start to spew green slim, throw objects (and YOU) around the house, etc.

Did this happen recently? How's your hand now? Everyone over the Damien bug?

One that is on top for me is hearing that someone who has been a member for so long, QFS and everything, and now so deeply involved with FOTCM can still be running a program that had him seeking out a mate on line, and then marrying her all without looking for any feedback from the network.

Yeah right?? That one got me to wondering too. I'm just a Noob, but it's clear yawl have a GREAT forum for bouncing serious issues off a bunch of bright brains. Shopping for an ewife is certainly what I would call a "serious issue"

Maybe you need a disclaimer on the videos "EE Breathing is in no way associated with EHarmony"

Well, there is always Sue's view of things that I was just plain "not nice".

On the way back from market, did you stop at the closest construction site and leave her locked in a port-o-let 'til her plane took off? No? Well then you were NICE by my definition!

It also didn't help that several of us were doing Mercury detox so that may have exacerbated the symptoms.
can I ask , how are you all detoxing mercury (i.e method of detoxing)?.

So, there are people saying "I'm high functioning autistic" or "Aspie" when they are really just a bit OCD/neurotic due to narcissistic wounding.

Doctors also tend to diagnose anyone with an "abnormal" MRI as "Aspie" too. If your brain just happens to work differently than theirs ...you're Aspie. If you perceive reality differently than they, you're Aspie. If you think outside their box, you must have a label...and "Aspie" has such a ring to it.

Lack of social reciprocity may well come across as lack of empathy,

Considering the society we're talking about, a lack of reciprocity might not be a bad thing. Could be that Aspies are just really good at ignoring and/or confronting psychopaths...and the psychopaths don't like it?

I wish... I think everyone has to learn to recognize psychopaths, this Aspie included (I took the crash course--two psychopaths in my life at once). The only plus (a dubious one) I can think of for lack of social reciprocity is that you spend less time talking with people leaving more time to do other things.

That's my point. On the one hand, there are experts saying that Asperger's is just a mild form of psychopathy (same about Autism) and on the other hand, there are people with this "diagnosis" who are clearly NOT psychopathic. So, my guess is that it is a deliberate blurring of the lines kind of like mixing up the diagnoses of ASPD and psychopathy. They are all just relying on external behaviors, NOT on what is inside. There can be VASTLY different reasons for external behaviors and this mode of diagnosing people is just Medieval! A person falls on the floor foaming at the mouth and they are diagnosed as demon possessed. In fact, they could be having 1) an epileptic seizure; 2) a stroke; 3) hydrophobia; 4) anything else.

So, basically, I would rather reject the Autism/Asperger's diagnoses unless and until some work is done on figuring out what is going on inside the person. Otherwise, they are going to take this label and do some very ugly things with it.

Very true, but perhaps some people being labeled as "Aspies" can learn to recognize and/or remember psychopathic traits faster due to various brain quirks ...unusual memory, so called "splinter savant skills" etc.?

I would rather reject Western Medicine in its entirety

They already are...and have been for quite some time! I almost got a radioactive isotope shoved up my nose a few decades ago.

I still have a very old file that describes me as "socially ackward" and states "she tells the truth at inappropriate times"
To this day, I have yet to figure out when it is "inappropriate" to tell the truth???

It's happening right now...on the website I just built for Save Kituwah. On it, I called Chairman Penland a kissazz...well I didn't actually call him a kissazz, I put a little kissazz graphic by his name....but the point is I identified him as a kissazz, because that is exactly what he is...and what he is doing. He is kissing Duke's azz....for money.

Evidently, this is not "socially acceptable" ...nope...can't call a kissazz a kissazz...heaven forbid we should TELL THE TRUTH!
That's "social reciprocity" for ya

Just to make the point about the so-called "Autism" and "Asperger's", have a look at this:

New psychiatric disorders flag normal human behaviors as "diseases"

Tuesday, March 02, 2010
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger
Editor of NaturalNews.com

The Disease Mongering Engine, which I invented a couple of years ago and posted on NaturalNews, was initially created as a joke to demonstrate the ridiculousness of the fictitious diseases that are constantly created by the psychiatric industry. This hilarious online disease generator (http://www.naturalnews.com/disease-mongering-engine.asp) allows you to instantly create your own fictitious diseases and disorders such as:

• Repetitive Dysmorphic Nose Picking Disorder With Itching (RDNPDWI)
• Oppositional Disorganized Speaking Disorder With Indigestion (ODSDWI)
• Chronic Bipolar Anticipation Dysfunction With Smelly Feet (CBADWSF)

... and so on.

Here's the bizarre part: All of a sudden, the new psychiatric diagnostic manual (DSM-V) appears to have adopted as medical fact many of the disorders that were created by the Disease Mongering Engine!

This new manual, for example, now says that spending a lot of time thinking about sex is a disorder. (That immediately paints every teenage boy as "diseased.")

Another new disease is "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" (ODD), which includes anyone who disagrees with authority. All those who are skeptical about the safety of vaccines, for example, are about to be diagnosed with ODD.

Now, people who are antisocial aren't merely antisocial. They're suffering from "Antisocial Personality Disorder" and require pharmacological treatment. So the prick neighbor isn't merely a prick anymore; he's a "sufferer" of a "disorder" who needs "treatment."

Children are no longer unhappy or throwing a temper tantrum, they are suffering from "Temper Dysregulation Disorder with Dysphoria." (I'm not making this up...)

Are you cracking up yet? If George Carlin were still alive today, he'd go berserk over this... Carlin, of course, would have been diagnosed with countless psychiatric disorders just for being different in his own genius way.

Federal law protects jackasses

The examples of ridiculous disorders seems endless. But here's the real kicker in all this: Thanks to federal laws that were designed to protect people who are physically disabled, people who now "suffer" from these fictitious disorders are now protected under federal law. So the antisocial prick jackass working at your office can't be fired now because he's actually suffering from a diagnosed "mental disorder" and he's being "treated" by psychiatrists.

As columnist George Will described it in a Washington Post article, "If every character blemish or emotional turbulence is a "disorder" akin to a physical disability, legal accommodations are mandatory. Under federal law, "disabilities" include any "mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities"; "mental impairments" include "emotional or mental illness." So there might be a legal entitlement to be a jerk."

There might even be legal protections for people who are sexual predators. So the creepy pervert at the office who feels you up in the snack room can't be fired either -- he's only suffering from "Hypersexual Disorder", a new disorder now defined as a "mental illness" by the psychiatric manual which describes it, in part, as: "A great deal of time is consumed by sexual fantasies and urges and by planning for and engaging in sexual behavior." (Well gee, there goes half the population...)

Let's make all the children "normal"

There's another danger in all this psych-tagging of human behavior: What about all the creative, genius children who operate far beyond the intellectual norms of regular, average kids? As George Will explains:

"Childhood eccentricities, sometimes inextricable from creativity, might be labeled "disorders" to be "cured." If 7-year-old Mozart tried composing his concertos today, he might be diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and medicated into barren normality."

Based on the new DSM-V, children who don't fit in as dumbed-down, average kids will be flagged as diseased and could be cognitively castrated by whatever psychiatric drugs are necessary to bring them down to the level of all the other kids. Why have exceptional children when they can fit in better as "average!"

I used the Random Disease Generator and got: "Chronic Avoidant Mood Syndrome With Facial Tic". (CAMSWFT)

CAMSWFT is defined as involving ongoing, systemic and unstoppable compromised by a strong desire to avoid confrontations during intense emotional experiences, worsened by involuntary facial muscle spasms.

Geeze, I know SCADS of people I can tag with this one!!!

The instructions say:

Take these steps to get filthy rich!

1. Patent a dangerous chemical as a "treatment" for CAMSWFT.
2. Invent fictitious trial results that prove the drug is effective in treating CAMSWFT.
3. Bribe FDA officials into approving the drug as safe for everyone! (Even if it kills people.)
4. Submit to the American Psychiatric Association for inclusion in their DSM-IV (the standard reference guide of psychiatric disorders).
5. Create an emotional TV ad that shows unhappy, confused people being transformed into perfect beings after they take your drug.
6. Issue press releases to mainstream media outlets who will run your propaganda as news with zero skepticism.
7. Bribe doctors with vacations, extravagant meals and "consulting fees" in order to get them to prescribe your drug to as many patients as possible.
8. Buy off politicians and legislators to block alternative medicine and enforce a pharmaceutical monopoly.
9. Sit back and rake in the dough** while Americans go broke buying your drug to treat CAMSWFT!
10. When the lawsuits roll in from the families of dead patients, simply use a small portion of your windfall profits to settle out of court, admitting no guilt.

And that, dear friends, is how Autism and Asperger's became the new fad disorder label that got stuck on anybody and everybody who was the tiniest bit disinclined to buy into the cheap, plastic, shallow reality sold on American Idol.

Oh yes, that is true, depending upon what you done with what you have. My story is not typical in that regard. In my early 30s I responded to a call from an organization offering "educational workshops." I signed up for a communications workshop, because that is what is what I was having the most trouble with (in retrospect--"no wonder!"), and that was my introduction to esoteric work.

I had huge difficulties with the training and my progress has been slow, but what I have learned helps me to "see through" people now. Before I could do that, though, I had to overcome problems with not being able to "read" people in more conventional ways. So it is two-edged: it can be an advantage for recognizing these kinds of traits, but perhaps only after overcoming some major obstacles.

Then there is Disorder Disorder:

Disorder Disorder is a condition characterized by a need for the subject to classify every human condition he/she doesn't understand as a "disorder."

[This is my own definition, copied from a post of mine on an AS-related forum.]
