Session 24 October 2009

Wow - the site looks fabulous. Have been swamped with work and barely able to keep up with forum posts but was watching the evolution of the logo and really love it - so many talented folks here!! Already thinking about ideas for jewelry and other ways to wear the logo!!

I have been telling family and friends about FOTCM and have sent emails out about it and each time I had to collect about four to five different links - so today I was able to send the link to the Paleochristianity site - YAY!!! :)

The site is awesome!
Thanks to Laura and everybody else who have given so much in realising the idea of FOTCM finally coming true.
I'm really excited to be part of this remarkable and magnificent movement and make a real change in our world.
Thank you all!

More goodies are coming soon, but just getting the darn thing up was a 2-day affair due to strange technical problems with the hosting company!

The Éiriú Eolas page is now up.

Looooking goood! Nice clean- slick look. :headbanger:

I found a small error in the Religion or Science article. There is a quote " Religion without science is blind. Science without religion is lame.

It's missing the final quotation mark.

That's normal. Blockquoted text is offset inside a grey box, and the little light-colored left quote is just sort of a visual embellishment.

I am thinking about all the places that the logo could appear, i for one would like a mug a T-shirt with the logo on.

But for know I have tried a plaque with a logo in glass.

This is so cool, I just had to add it to the front page of paleochristianity.org!
:D

I, too, love the image of the plaque with the logo in glass. However, placing it at the top of the front page so near to the existing logo in the upper left corner, they seem to be in competition with one another for attention. I noticed that the front page and the About page both have gold horizontal bars at the bottom as a visual end mark of the text. Would centering the plaque image just below the gold bars be a nice touch? I'm really undecided about this - it may look best just the way it is. But, I thought I'd offer the suggestion, fwiw.

Well, the paypal thing doesn't work yet because the froze the account almost the instant it was opened and demanded a whole raft of paperwork. Typical.

Please do let us know when its up and running!

PayPal link now works!

It is just a proposition. But in the Eiriu Eolas section of the paleochristianity site, is it possible to have the excellent FAQ prepared by Bo ( http://www.cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php?topic=14410.msg112025#msg112025 ) as a downloadable pdf file for example? I think it should be very useful.

I think it's a good idea.

I'm also thinking that we may want a completely separate FOCTM forum rather than making it just a subset of cass. What do ya'll think? It would be a stand along "online church".

I can see why it would need to be separated and at the same time I think the SOTT forum as wealth of information that can benefit the new and older members osit.

Isn't going to be too hard to follow on one side and the other ? and it's already difficult for some to have to follow up here ?

Will the FOTCM forum be focused on much different topics than here ?

I concur with Tigersoap, I can see benefits on both sides. Maybe, start with a subset of Cass, and depending on the development and direction of FotCM, splitting out to a completely separate forum with its own set of topics - it may otherwise overpower the Cass forum. I am sure that it is possible to follow separate forums, as apparently the QFS members do.

I like the idea, maybe we can have the FOCTM in the Esoterica section as a separate forum "the online church" to deal directly with its own standarts:

-Members are given spiritual guidance relating to Mind, Body, and Spirit.
-Members are given practical and scientific guidance relating to the detoxification of the Mind, Body, and Spirit through simple dietary recommendations as well as the revived ancient techno-spiritual Eiriu Eolas Breathing and Meditation program.
-Members are afforded legal protection of Fellowship rights as defined in the Statement of Principles.

Then FOCTM forum could integrate Eíriú-Eolas - Breathing Program , Eíriú-Eolas - Guide/FAQ, The Prayer of the Soul" Translations and The Work.

So we would have three main forums on Esoterica section:
The Cassiopaean Experiment (Transcripts, speculations, background)

Fellowship of The Cosmic Mind (online church providing integral help):
-Eíriú-Eolas - Breathing Program (Eíriú-Eolas - Guide/FAQ/etc)
-The prayer of the soul "translations"
-The work

Memories, Dreams, Reflections (Lucid Dreaming? Prophetic Dreams? Dream Symbolism? Jung? Share your dreams; analyze, discuss, research interpretations)

I am seeing it from the perspective of FOTCM as a community growing together thanks to the combined efforts of its members, living in real communion and religiously, helping each other, that's why maybe the work should also be a part of it, there are many advanced members that can really help others and what better place to do it than in our church, OSIT

Excellent job on getting the site up so quickly!!

Funny you should mention that, I was thinking last night that I should post my thoughts on this today.
Well as it stands having the FOTCM forum as a subset forum here will probably work OK in its initial construction/setup/tweaking faze (I know it'll be continually evolving, but more so at the start I think), and while it is mostly made up of forum members.
What struck me however is two fold. As it grows into its own entity, and people join (with no knowledge of the C's/wave/comunity and work here) I can see a need for the FOTCM forum to be more and more its own entity also. Also could there be some legal problems (I'm not a lawyer) with blurring the boundaries of the community by it being a subset here??

I know its born from the C's and the work here, but it somehow seems important that if it is its own free standing entity, that the forum (i.e. community) also be its own free standing entity. Just as the forum here is separate from the QFS. I'm sure there is a great overlap between what goes on in the QFS and on the forum here.....and if the forum here had just come into existence it may even be a good starting point to have it as a subset of the QFS community....but as its grown its become something else. This is how I see the FOTCM forum/community.

I know it may be more work to manage a separate forum....what I thought about is how feasible is it (perhaps from a technical point of view) to set it up here as a subset, then clone that section (of the forums database/members database) so that it can be split off when the time comes? Maybe this is an unnecessary step?

Perhaps there would be a way (to do both?) and have the subset forum on the FOTCM site without it being obvious that its a subset? i.e. the rest of the forum is hidden if you come in that end perhaps? a cross linked custom view of the same database?

Either way, as this looks like adding work consider me as volunteering for any additional work if its of help to you all. My FOTCM application should be on its way be the weekend.
