Trump Assassination of Iranian General Soleimani - IRGC Counterstrike

Well, not terribly surprising. What seems ominous to me is the enormous number of Muslims who are now resident in Western countries and might be rather moved by the death of their beloved hero - moved enough to take some kind of action.

But, we must wait and see. It may or may not be time to batten down the hatches.
Yeah, that's the real threat, although there's no way of knowing to what extent it exists. Iran is neither willing nor able to take a war to the USA. For a start, the USA is 6,000 miles away and Iran can't reach it.

Second, if it inflicted significant damage on US "interests" in the ME, it would risk a major response from the US, leading to much loss of Iranian life and destruction of Iranian infrastructure.

Third, I don't think Trump is interested in war (he has said and demonstrated as much a few times already). I think the killing of Suleimani was to appease the Israelis, who ARE in the direct line of fire and, more importantly, are only too willing to start something big with Iran.

Trump doesn't want that because he knows that if it happened, the US would find it almost impossible not to intervene on Israel's side. So his plan seems to be to placate the Israelis, reassure them that the US is still going to be around in the ME so they don't have to freak out and start a war, and hopefully keep the Iranians in check at the same time.

It's a delicate balance for sure, so Trump will have to use 5D chess, and call on Q for help, or the ghost of John McCain.

I'm wondering about the domino effects and here's a few other angles to consider.

Just about every country has Muslim immigrants, but there are also US military/naval bases in lots of countries. Could be that Muslim extremists will openly go after US military/naval installations in any country.

Also the whole set up could be a way to get US to withdraw from many countries. War doesn't necessarily have to involve armed conflict and Trump is a business man so he'd have to know how economies work. Things are getting pretty dodgy all over and the US would be better served by having all troops at home I'd imagine. I'm thinking along the lines of Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars, there are lot's of Muslims and Chinese in service industries and who have bought up real estate giving them commercial interest in the countries they've migrated to. The whole set up might be to force US military/naval personnel to go home because they can no longer occupy those countries.

So, in a round about way that kind of gives Trump more leverage in withdrawing troops from lots of countries, even those where military/naval presence is more peaceful, and where it is more peaceful, the troops generally have their families living in those countries too. Could make things uncomfortable for those troops to want to stay serving abroad if they get a hint of being targeted by Muslims, or having services cut by Muslim or Chinese operators.

It was part of Trumps 'America First Policy' to withdraw troops from foreign affairs, and if he's being true to that, then maybe the assassination is a part of his strategy to get US troops home against the wishes of the deep state.

I watched the video with the interview of Steve Pieczenik and I don't think there was much information there of real value. Israel was not mentioned apart from a little remark, Hezbollah was demonized as being totally corrupt and losing power in Lebanon, the US was spoken of as being in a exceptional pole position economically and culturally to rule the world, the death of Soleimani was spoken of as being a relief of Khamenei and so on. He doesn't think there will be any major war but perhaps some smaller kinetic action in Yemen and perhaps Lebanon/Israeli border.

I got the impression that they truly believe they are alternative news, but this show was pretty dismal and to a large degree just defending the American action and the MIC, which they said would increase in value. But otherwise quite a bit of wishful thinking.

In the second video from 2017, he mentions how Israel has become poor partners to the US and how they created the Hamas as a counterweight to Hezbollah and also how Israel sank the USS Liberty in 1967.

The Iraqi parliament has voted to cancel the US presence in Iraq.

There is also this news, which probably needs to be confirmed. If true, then that does not do the US diplomatic standing much good. Not that their standing was very high anyway. It says that Soleimani was on a diplomatic mission by the request of the Iraqi PM. One would in such a case suspect an Israeli involvement with the aim of making the US look completely abominable.

I don't know if I've ever come to realize just how much I appreciate having Sott around for all these years and having access to this forum than I did after watching this video by Sargon of Akkad, who seems to have become famous from the SJW and Peterson stuff (posted in other threads on the forum). I watched some of his stuff on that subject and I was pretty impressed, but this video let's just say isn't flattering to him in my eyes. It was sent to me by a friend, who I guess came to know and follow him due to the Peterson controversy. Basically, the video is Akkad giving his views and the views of those he might consider as experts on the subject of Iran and all the comments and points he makes could be seen as CIA or Deep State talking points. You don't even need to watch but a few minutes.

Also, from seeing the overall reaction of people on twitter and people I'm friends with on Facebook, it is staggering just how much of a confused and staggering mess things are on the information level and in people's minds. It actually has me thinking about laying low a bit on social media and seeing how things play out.

I am reminded that, at some point after 9-11, Cs said that the whole game plan that had been set in motion BY Israel would ultimately lead to its destruction. So, we may be seeing the beginnings of this. "He who digs a pit for another..."

Clearly, there is huge discrepancy in how huge parts of the islamic world viewed Soleimani and his deeds compared to the western talking points about him being the Nr 1 Monster in the world (a view largely directed by Israel). His funeral is just one case in point, since it could very well be one of the biggest if not the biggest that ever happened in history. He was clearly regarded as a hero and fighter against the Americans and especially the Zionists for many.

Here is an interview with him, translated into englisch:

Looking upon Major General Qassim Soleimani, hero of heroes, from up so close, it is clear from data streaming from the first images in this video that:
1. He knew he would die soon and he was perfectly content with it
2. You can see he was very tired & weary from the constant battle, physically and in spirit
3. He left specific instructions to his inner circle in case of his death
4. He remains a spiritual general, just like a "little Caesar": he has fought a spiritual battle for Islam for the freedom and prosperity of the Arab world and he certainly won't give up the fight just because he merely lost a physical body and continues on in 5D and beyond. This won't be the last time we see him:
5. If in the future meeting fellow warriors of the same soul-tribe in 4thD, he won't have any problems with people coming from different religions. I think he will continue on as a major tactical commander in the upcoming 4thD battles too.
6. If all our famous persons were graded regards greatness of the soul mirroring their deeds here in 3D, before they died, I think, Soleimani has a giant soul!!!

I'm stunned at Soleimani's braveness (or foolishness) to drive to Baghdad airport, which is basically US controlled territory. His Iraqi Shiite security detail can only do so much when it comes to sophisticated air strikes.
Every organization has its traitors.

His main role in the region was organizing Iranian military support in Syria and to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

So his main enemy was of course Israel which includes the American Deep State.

Resentfully "falling out of love" with Trump is probably not helpful since we can't know who or what coerced him to take that decision. The life (or at least presidency) he saved may be his own.

Soleimani reminds me of another dedicated Military commander, Mustafa Badreddine who was killed in Syria in May of 2016. There were claims that Israel was behind that death and the air strike happened near the Damascus International Airport. In some ways, there's similarities in the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

May 13, 2016 - Lebanon's militant Hezbollah group on Friday mourned its top military commander, Mustafa Badreddine, who was killed in an explosion in the Syrian capital that dealt a major blow to the Shiite group, which has provided crucial support to Syrian government forces.

Badreddine, 55, had been the mastermind of the group's involvement in Syria's civil war since Hezbollah fighters joined the battle on the side of Syrian President Bashar Assad against those trying to remove him from power, according to pro-Hezbollah media. Hezbollah, along with Iran, has been one of Assad's strongest backers.

The Beirut-based Al-Mayadeen TV, which is close to the Lebanese Shiite group, earlier said Badreddine was killed in an Israeli airstrike but later removed the report.

In its statement announcing his death, Hezbollah said "a strong explosion targeted one of our centres near the Damascus International Airport, leading to the martyrdom of brother commander Mustafa Badreddine and wounding several others."

Since Hezbollah was founded in 1982, Israel has killed some of the group's top leaders.
In 1992, Israeli helicopter gunships ambushed the motorcade of Nasrallah's predecessor, Abbas Musawi, killing him, his wife, 5-year-old son and four bodyguards. Eight years earlier, Hezbollah leader Sheik Ragheb Harb was gunned down in south Lebanon.

In December, high profile militant Samir Kantar, who spent 30 years in an Israeli prison, was killed along with eight others in an airstrike on a residential building in Jaramana, a Damascus suburb.

This may amuse some of us, me included:
(If we go back to the not so far - 70's and everything the Iranian people have endured since. It seems like history tends to catch up on the Pentagoons and their wretched arsenal of b#llsh#t)
My heart goes out to the people, the familles, the countries whom this man has served.
Not being of Muslim faith, I can still fathom what they must feel. Somewhat!

This article gives additional details but also confirms my suspicion that there were similarities between Soleimani and Badreddine's deaths.

New Details About Strike On Top Iranian Commander Emerge As Americans Are Told To Flee Iraq (Updated)
https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/31703/new-details-about-strike-on-top-iranian-commander-emerge-as-americans-are-told-to-flee-Iraq

January 3, 2020 - [...] Whatever the case, Soleimani has been on the U.S. government's radar for decades now and American officials had considered targeting him on a number of occasions in the past. Retired U.S. Army General Stanley McChrystal says that he opted not to strike the Quds Force commander in Iraq in 2007, when he was commander of the Joint Special Operations Command, for a number of reasons, including potential political blowback. At that time, the Quds Force was aiding groups in Iraq fighting the U.S.-led coalition there, as well as engaging in attacks directly.

President George W. Bush reportedly vetoed a proposal from the Central Intelligence Agency and Israel's Mossad to assassinate him in Syria the following year over similar concerns. The CIA and Mossad did kill Imad Mughniyeh, the second in command of the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah in the Syrian capital Damascus, which was also part of the plan.

[...] U.S. National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien has now told reporters that the United States chose to strike Soleimani because he was planning attacks on U.S. military and diplomatic personnel, but declined to offer any specifics. He also said that the Trump administration had used the authority within the 2002 Authorization for the Use of Military Force in Iraq, originally enacted to enable the American-led invasion of the country in 2003 and subsequent occupation.

"This is the airlift that the US is currently building between the US> Europe> Middle East. Dozens of transport, re-supply and fighter jets. Recall that the last time we saw an image of such magnitude, was during the attack on Syria in April 2018, even now there are more planes than that time."
