I'm kind of speechless about Lauren Southern. I've seen a lot of her segments covering the Gender/Jordan Peterson debates and also her coverage of BLM Canada, etc. and she always seemed on the ball in that regards. But to hear her go on that almost all Muslims are "X, Y and Z" is disheartening. I think we are in perilous times where it's very easy to fall down that slippery slope of pointing the finger at the "other" and this is what we are seeing today. Separation between East and West, Islam vs the West, left vs right, men vs women - meanwhile there is an attempt at blurring the lines between gender and sexuality, so it's very confusing and chaotic. It's like these major divides have opened up between people when we should be coming together and working past our differences. For one, observing my own psychology throughout all of this, is that when you are grouped into an opposing camp, even if you weren't initially part of that camp, people have the tendency of entrenching themselves in that opposing/opposite stance, almost as a reaction to the extreme nature of the other persons viewpoints or accusations. So I think it's a matter of necessity and survival to keep our heads on straight, don't give into these manufactured dichotomies and see things for what they are, osit.
I am starting to notice more and more a feeling of being grounded. Even in all these tumultuous times. To use an analogy, it is like wind, at first it picks up only the small things, dust, leaves, etc, and gradually as it increases picks up larger and larger items. To the point where in a typhoon or tornado, pretty well everything can get swept away. So as the wind, (or the wave) approaches even those that thought they had a solid foundation of thought, incrementally are getting swept up. You could apply that to Laura Southern. She had a lot of the right thoughts, but not the whole foundation to anchor her. And now that the PTB is turning up the dial, she is getting swept up. Hope that makes sense....
