What's for Dinner?

Brow rice risotto on almond pumpkin seeds milk with touch of vanilla, when cold mixed with whipped cream; blackberries, strawberries and blueberries, on the top a bit of bitter chocolate :)

Hi Ljubica,

There is gluten in brow rice. There is only the wild rice that is glutenfree.

Chicken legs smoked on the grill, boiled red potatoes, steamed peas.

Lettuces salad with avocado, steamed carrot and broccoli. Desert, a sweet delicious Mango! :D

I wasn't particularly hungry having had plenty to eat for breakfast and lunch, so just a couple of slices of precooked, uncured natural ham and some assorted nuts (because I was hungry for them).

Fresh grilled red fish marinated overnight in: olive oil, garlic, parsley, bit of oregano and laurel with steamed potato salad with spring onion olive oil and home made vinegar.

Last night was Salisbury steak burgers with a great sauce made with onions, garlic, and homemade stock. And "mashed potatoes" made from cauliflower and ghee.

We're using our slow cooker a lot around these parts.

Today it was slow cooked lamb steaks with onion, garlic, parsnip, everything cooked in stock.

Plus left over quinoa with baked sweet potatoes and left over broccoli and green beans. Dessert was cocoa muffins.

Meatballs (used buckwheat flour instead of breadcrumbs) in tomato sauce (I tolerate this well) and quinoa GF pasta

Pork filets with quinoa, mash sweet potato with duck fat and a green salad as starter. Buckwheat muffin for desert either banana with chocolate chip or banana and nuts.

Last night it was a pork chop from the local butcher and a mixed green salad of spring herbs, spinach, and kale topped with fresh squeezed lemon and olive oil. Their was a nice chunk of fat on the pork chop that, in the past, I would have passed on but I am finding that I enjoy it almost as much as the actual meat. Love the fat!!

Last night I had free range chicken livers and onions fried in duck fat with a side of mashed butternut squash with ghee. Tonight it was half slab of pork ribs and asparagus.

Hot dogs fried slowly in bacon grease served with a side of sauerkraut (no bun). Broccoli and green beans tossed in olive oil with a dash of salt and pepper.

The hot dogs came from a nearby organic farm. No MSG, nitrates or other nasty preservatives.
