I've pretty much never met anyone who was really on the same page as me. (IRL, that is. I think this forum is generally close enough.) There are always some areas where you disagree even with people you agree with on most things and whom you really like.

Hey Mandatory Intellectomy,

I think this interesting discussion about acceptance versus agreement touches upon some questions raised recently in this thread in regard to your initial post about "moronic" people out there. Might be of interest. I also think luc had some good thoughts on the subject earlier in the thread by the way.

It now known that at least 50% (Spain 66%) of deaths from covid-19 in most countries occurred in care homes and that the primary cause of those deaths was not the virus itself but the effects of lockdown.

According to the UK Office for National Statistics, nearly 50,000 care home deaths were registered in the 11 weeks up to 22 May in England and Wales — 25,000 more than you would expect at this time of the year.

A British Medical Journal study noted that during the 2 months of lockdown, 30,000 excess deaths in care homes occurred in England and Wales, and of those, 20,000 were not related to covid-19.

The Italian govt. statistics office, Istat, has reported nearly 19,000 additional excess deaths during March and April — people who died either at home or in nursing homes, unsupported by family, neighbours or care home staff.

A recent study in the southern area of Paris suggests confinement itself has had catastrophic consequences. In long-term care facilities with excess Covid-19 deaths, researchers found that acute respiratory distress was not the primary problem — deaths were mainly due to hypovolemic shock, or fluid loss. Confined to their rooms in lockdown, with staff absences running at 40 per cent and with a consequent reduction in the usual support, residents were dying of thirst.

These facts allow us to draw two reasonable conclusions:

1) there was never any intention to "protect the elderly" as the refrain went, quite the opposite.

2) the people most at risk from this virus are the vulnerable elderly almost always with chronic underlying health conditions.

The first point is tragic and a massive indictment of government and the health service that lays bare their real attitude to the elderly.
The second point is perhaps more important from a global perspective. From the Chinese experience of this virus, it was VERY CLEAR well before lockdowns were imposed in the West, that this virus was almost exclusively only a threat to the vulnerable elderly. The linked article from the BBC is from February 18th, a full month before most lockdowns were imposed.

So the question that remains unanswered is this: why were lockdowns imposed on the entire population when it was well known that the vast majority of the population was not at risk? Why were policies not put in place to protect those most at risk, and instead policies enacted that INCREASED the risk and death toll among those most at risk, which includes deciding NOT to follow the very effective herd immunity path?

A few thoughts that have been on my mind and you final question brought into focus:

Given that, as you say, there was no attempt to protect the elderly, I am thinking this is just another part of the psy-op. As this virus is barely noticeable in the general population, the only people most see dying are the elderly, especially those in care homes or already in hospital. By focusing on this, the deadly virus narrative was reinforced, this was the only way in which the death toll would rapidly increase.

The PTB knew full well that the majority would not delve far enough into the stats to see the real picture. They just had to keep up the 'save the NHS', 'protect the elderly' with a religious fervor (weekly clapping rituals, MPs speaking from their pulpit), while doing the exact opposite and providing daily death updates, with little to no context. Many people have died, but very few are looking at the specifics so far. I think this is one area in which the narrative could fall apart should the media ever pick up on it (not holding my breath).

On a more cynical note I am reminded of all the small side effects of 9/11, namely the destruction of two towers that were going to cost an awful lot of money to refurbish, remove asbestos from etc. In a similar vein, allowing a large number of people 'burdening' the NHS and care homes to die would be a handy side effect of this for those in power. I can imagine, a year or so down the line, 'look how we saved the NHS!... Now we don't have to look after all those sick people'...

The lock down of the rest of society allows for the cover up of everything else going on in the UK (and I am sure similar things are going on in other countries as so many posts here reveal). Whether this was some huge plan from the beginning or just those in power capitalizing is pretty redundant now. The undermining of democracy has been going on for a long time, but there have been dissenting voices. With the lock down, most of these voices have been silenced. UK Column news have I think been pretty much on the ball with reporting the political machinations going on in the UK under the cover of the plandemic.

  • Dominic Cummings, despite a small blip, seems to be gaining even more control and pushing through his plans (breaking the civil service, privatising everything in sight, making vaccine deals with GSK, AstraZenica etc.).
  • Boris may well be on his way out fairly soon with Gove ready to step in.
  • The military have stepped up their activities with 77th Brigade, tracking, propaganda in schools etc.
  • Brexit negotiations are beginning again with few paying any attention which may very well lead to the non-Brexit many of us have been suspecting. The plandemic probably privides the perfect reason to keep closer ties to the EU.
All of this has been going on without a real parliament and no house of lords. Almost anyone trying to share what is really going on is being silenced through social media censorship as this is one of the only ways they now have to share information.

Then the lock down itself has created more fear of the virus, with social distancing creating fear of other people, each other, rather than just a virus. I suspect this fear could be around for a long time to come. More divide and conquer tactics with the probable aim still a complete undermining of what little democracy we had left, a vaccine and the vast curtailing of personal freedoms.

It is not a pretty picture but the information is out there and there are still many ways in which at least some of these plans can fail...

They backed down, but only after Elon Musk tweeted at Jeff Bezos!

Immediately under the original tweet, Musk called for Amazon to be broken up as it's a monopoly. I suspect the last thing Bezos wants is a member of the billionaire class making the case for his business to be broken up.

This kind of thing happens quite a bit, with tech companies censoring views they don't like; occasionally the person they censor has enough connections or enough of a following that they back down, but generally there's no recourse.

Some headlines and comments from Southern Scandinavia/Denmark which illustrates the public debate concerning the Covid19 and its aftermath. Much probably reflects what is going on in many other countries. There are reports of manipulation, lies, concentration of power and more control over the public. It began as just a couple of articles, but then I found more and more since the subject picked up speed, as I wrote.

In the beginning the Government leaned on the health official regarding the lockdown, but it has turned out this was just a front. From Berlingske.dk
Serum institute downgraded the severity few days before shutdown: Coronavirus was just a 'severe flu'
[...]
The mortality rate of a covid-19 epidemic - the disease caused by the coronavirus - is simply comparable to a 'severe seasonal flu'.

This is how the assessment sounded in an internal memo to the government - sent just days before the government on March 11 decided to shut down the community. The sender was the government's top health adviser in the State Serum Institute (SSI), which is behind the authorities' central calculations of the corona pandemic.
That the initial decision was based more on politics than medical science was also indicated in an article published a few days after the emergency laws went through. This of course has become more clear as time has passed:
Experts: It is a democratic problem that the government does not reveal who recommended forced intervention
The government still does not want to tell which authorities recommended forced intervention.

When the government on Friday held a press conference on a partial and cautious reopening of borders, there were only ministers on the pulpit. Unlike previous corona press meetings, there were no government officials to expertly target the decisions. The four ministers with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) at the head were careful to emphasize that the government had received advice from the authorities, but in the end has made a political decision itself.

Not all see the problem faced by what has been revealed:
Comment: The real scandal throughout the corona process is the National Board of Health
LARS OLSEN
The National Board of Health recommended the failed Swedish corona strategy, while leading experts around the world advocated for a more offensive approach. Fortunately, the government chose the latter.
Sweden did fine, better than this from Berlingske.dk
Insane year is eating away our wealth - 'it is crucial that we continue to up the retirement age'

While some got a lot of attention, others did not get treatment:
Mette Frederiksen's extreme precautionary principle involves a willingness to sacrifice four cancer patients for each saved Corona patient
And:

What to expect next or will a few plans collapse?
The Government tried the following, although the latest news is that they did not succeed:
One experienced politician reacted:
Give us laws instead of decrees
It should end with decrees issued by a one-party government that acts as a one-party state
He was not alone and next day:
Following massive criticism: Now the government is abandoning proposals for greater access to secret telephone numbers

Health Minister Magnus Heunicke is now abandoning a proposal that lawyers in the Folketing have had 'significant concerns' about. The proposal was intended to give authorities access to secret telephone numbers to track covid-19 infected and their contacts.
And later:
Bertel Haarder: Never has it been harder to be opposition. We are mocked if we complain, and we are shamed if we break the unity
This basically tells us that the last months have been a one party system, with a few dissidents. It is not certain this will change, but the frustrations are mounting:
He is called the corona king: Parties are pushing to take power away from him quickly
A united parliament gave a minister extensive power to take far-reaching action. Assembly Prohibition. Store closures. Forced Treatments. Now, a political majority thinks it should be taken away from him again, and that must be done before planned, are the calls for Constitution Day.
In other words, they want him fired!

Not only did the Government/Minister of Health want access to secret phone numbers but he also expressed the intention to make the emergency laws into proper permanent laws (Whole meeting, but try also here) that can be activated at a moments notice.

Another example of the Government wishing to own the whole human, concerns the recent Corona tests.
The State Serum Institute looks like the worst tech companies when they sneak to get hold of people's DNA
Unbelievable that the authorities like trappers snatch citizens' DNA material into a giant biobank when a corona test is obtained
A couple of weeks ago the Government was asked about the use of the data, and the PM passed the role of having to lie on to an official. Watch it here as long as it is up. Even if one does not understand Danish, the body language is telling.

But then the DNA plan is not new. A couple of years ago there was:
Your DNA for sale: The state will profit from DNA, health data and human trials
Blog post Thomas Birk Kristiansen 26.03.18 by Thomas Birk Kristiansen, Trine Jeppesen
Danes are not asked before their DNA and health data can be used commercially. The state has invested heavily with a focus on gross domestic product, savings and medical trials on people. Where does the patient perspective and respect come into the picture?

Commercial growth dreams and the prospect of financial gains are the focal point of the state's plans to utilize Danes digital health data and the mapping of Danes DNA profiles in a National Genome Center. It is estimated that Denmark has invested more than DKK 500 million in recent years in research infrastructure with relevance for personal medicine. About biobanks, DNA sequencing machines and supercomputers.
The State run for DNA has been similar to that seen in a totalitarian state, because now it has come out that several doctors are taking the Ministry of Health to court, not because the Ministry of Health have bought 5.3 million "test sets for Corona" (Enough for basically everyone.). No, the Ministry has gone into the data systems and ordered tests for all the patients of some clinics using the ID of the doctor and their number of authorization. If this had been done by any average person, it would be a case of fraud, hacking, it-crime. In one clinic, they ordered for Corona tests for 3800 patients without consulting the doctor or the patients.

Digital control, surveillance and 5G
It has been reported that hackers have been more active as a result of Covid19, and now there is a wish to make a temporary solution a permanent feature.
The Minister of Defense is considering allowing Danish police to block websites without a court order
May 29, 2020 at 1 p.m. 07:35
[...]
This is to happen in the wake of the corona crisis, where police, with a temporary emergency law, were allowed to block websites without court orders as the hackers rushed in to exploit the crisis and a land on the other end.
[...]
The above is basically similar to what FB, Youtube and Twitter are already doing, although the initiative from the state is not directed against content so far, but more against criminal intentions, although also that of course may change with interpretation. Now, considering that the Government used the ID and authorization numbers of some doctors to "test for Corona", as explained above, I'm afraid we can not conclude that the hacking and ransom wear attacks necessarily all came from real criminals. That is only what we have been told by the Government, that by now has failed the trust of the people so many times.

There is a new legislation to support more surveillance:
Now surveillance in public space is increasing: 'If you are not safe, then you are not free'
On Thursday, a majority in the Parliament passed a bill to increase surveillance in Denmark. Justice Minister Nick Hekkerup (S) calls it 'a big step' towards a more 'safe' society. From the think tank Justitia it seems that the increased surveillance puts the rights of the population under pressure.

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) made it clear in October that she wants to make the Danes more safe and secure by means of a number of 'far-reaching' steps.

Two months later, Justice Minister Nick Hekkerup (S) presented the government's safety and security package, and here he did not hide the fact that there were measures that one never before thought should be implemented.

He himself stated that "with surveillance freedom increases" and the first step towards more surveillance was taken on Thursday. Here, a majority of the Parliament, [...] adopted the Minister's Bill, which allows for increased television surveillance in the public space.
The expression "with surveillance freedom increases" is like a propaganda expression.

Add to all this that a few days ago there was: Government sends new antenna law in consultation: Should remove barriers to 5G Interest groups have 24 days to respond, or before the parliament goes on holiday. They want the law approved in October and to be valid from December 21. Obviously the health of the population is not a concern with 5G, only Covid19. This new law will liberalise the market and make it much easier to install microwave radio senders and with fewer possibilities for objecting.

Strict lockdown measures have found supporters on both sides of the political spectrum
The strict lockdown measures have had vocal supporters both left and right. Now, some of these people wish to shut down a debate about the justification of the severity of the measures claiming that to discuss them is unethical. Here is an opinion piece written by a priest, Katrine Winkel Holm, who comments on a televised debate she watched:
No, it is not 'grossly unethical' to criticize the hard lockdown in March
It's ridiculous when center right debaters label Frederiksen critics as evil people [Frederiksen is the PM from the center left party.]

'Grossly unethical!' That was the sound of a thunder statement in the DR Debate on Thursday. It came from the debater Mikkel Andersson.

Andersson is an excellent liberal commentator, but let's maintain that he is a historian and journalist of education.

That didn't stop him from giving an instructive mini-lecture to former director of the Danish Health Authority Else Smith. Her view of the corona is simply grossly unethical!

I have to admit that if his rant wasn't gross, then at least a little comical. After all, Smith is not a confused student of medicine, but a very insightful physician with long experience and thorough knowledge of pandemic control. When she comes up with her assessment, I would at least listen instead of accusing her, as if she is a soft welfare version of Josef Mengele.

Fortunately, Else Smith turned out to be just as patient as the day is long behind the eye-catching glasses. She did not stir up Andersson. She contented herself with a mild correction of his hysterical claims, let him talk, and then proceeded with her points.
[...]
we must be able to discuss whether this was the right thing when Denmark was shut down in mid-March. Else Smith's assessment is that it was an overreaction:

There is a picture that we could possibly have managed well through the pandemic with a less severe shutdown. Not necessarily a Swedish model, because the Swedes were too poor to look after their elderly especially in the beginning, but maybe something in that direction. We can see that in the light of hindsight. It's not about pointing fingers, but about becoming wiser next time”.

Hopefully wiser! For while the economic consequences can be easily counted and surely soon felt by all of us, the human cost is more difficult.
[...]
In the above quote, I decided to include the way Else Smith responded to the attack, as it may indicate one way of conducting oneself in a dignified manner when faced with a similar treatment.

Ms. Winkel Holm moves on to discuss the human costs, including a statement from an old lady who told her. "If this is how I have to live [isolation] then I may as well die." I think many old people have been having the same thoughts.

Regarding "becoming wiser next time": Learning from mistakes would be useful, if the decision for a lockdown was a local one, and reasoned, but evasive answers from ministers leads to the more likely conclusion that the reasoning was not local which may be a diplomatic way of saying the input came from outside through one channel or the other. Just like there is socialism with Chinese characteristics there may also be Covid lockdowns with Danish characteristics.

Some political commentators are finding out they have indeed been manipulated
A political debate on the corona crisis has been necessary from the beginning
Amalie Lyhne Torsdag d. 04. juni 2020, kl. 07.56 Berlingske.dk
It is now clear that the government's decisions throughout the corona crisis have been deeply political. We have not just had to listen to the experts - it has been and still is necessary to deal politically with the crisis.

»Listen to the experts! Don't mean anything, because you know nothing. It's a health crisis, leave it to the health authorities. Wait to ask critical questions. We can always take the debate afterwards when the crisis is over. '

This was the case at the beginning of the Corona crisis when I and many others questioned the government's decisions, asked questions, or at all thought of the virus and the government's reaction to it. Back then, it was a very widespread position that Mette Frederiksen had gathered around the country's foremost epidemiological experts, listened closely to them and then made his decisions.

The prime minister has largely helped to draw this picture himself, when she said at the famous lockdown press conference on March 11:
[...]

The response from the population so far
One should think that the prospects of forced vaccinations, or the DNA they harvested by lies and tricks, or the thousands of people who have lost their jobs, or the companies that have gone down, or the increased incidence of loneliness and depression would be issues for a lot of people to object, but that is not the case just yet.

What gathers attention is apart from Black lives matter, a campaign going on against an opposition politician who in the opinion of some was close to the edge of the law regarding the administration of immigration. The 3rd of June it had gathered 105,000 members. The 4th of June 136,000 and growing. Reading the arguments some people give for joining, I found a couple who mention the law and write that all should follow the law also ministers. Fine, but it is rather a paradox that the same people apparently accept that a Government with lightening speed makes what was illegal one day, legal the next through an appeal to urgency followed by a decree, not to mention all the problems with the tricks to get hold of the DNA of people. No matter the justification, the timing of attacking the opposition politician with this issue fits well with solidifying a one party rule.

When it comes to arguing against the lockdown measures, it is/was almost nonexistent. I found one FB group with 2200 people and modest activity.

Yesterday, I checked the channel of the parliament. They wrote they had experienced more traffic and had opened and alternative site for viewing. Perhaps increased attention to the public political process may leave some viewers with more interest in finding out about the issues discussed and the reasoning (if any) behind them, especially from now on, when people will have to pay the price for the measures that were introduced.

The leading British medical journal, The Lancet, forced to retract the study that had implied HCQ was ineffective or bad for treatment of Covid 19, over serious issues of data integrity. A some sort of introducing the tracking Covid-19 app in people’s minds. This is a map of cases of Covid-19 in the Metropolitan area of Guadalajara, Jalisco. Published at Mural (newspaper) with data of Jalisco Government.

Cases in Red, if one zoom it and do a click, a little rectangle came up indicating a more precisely number of cases in that point.

It should had been done instead with cases of dengue, in that case would be more useful because, it indicates more where misquitoes are dwelling. The state of Jalisco had been having a lot of cases of dengue since 2 years ago. And the governor had cut off social programs to eliminate it. But the governor was so eager and ready to anticipate Federal government to apply the draconian measures, such as staying at home, closing business etc. And has been eager as well in applying "safe distance" protocols for the new anormality.

RED POINTS
The Covid-19 is circulating in the entire metropolitan area of Guadalajara, but according to the information that the Executive Power gave to the metropolitan city councils to reinforce preventive measures, it is the Oblates and part of Huentitán that are most affected by the CORONAVIRUS.

Amazon just refused to publish journalist Alex Berenson's critique of the plandemic, "Unreported Truths About COVID-19 and Lockdowns, Part 1: Introduction and Death Counts and Estimates".

The same thing happened to Prof. Bhakdi, who wrote a book (German) with his wife about the plandemic (and also proves in it that a vaccine will definitely NOT work for Corona, all other issues with vaccines aside). One day before the ebook was supposed to go live on June 1st, Amazon pulled the trigger. He said he has a plan B to publish it as a paperback, but it's still astonishing. Amazon apparently told him in a message that he "can't publish the book because people need to get their information from respected authorities"! Can you imagine that? They don't hide it anymore! Not to mention the fact that Prof. Bhakdi is one of the most respected and cited microbiologist in Germany! He IS the authority! Incredible. Hopefully, the book will come out despite this censorship and even get a PR boost because of it.

I´m a little behind the thread, but I just wanted to share some observations.

I´m currently in Croatia; we arrived last Thursday night because on Wednesday grandma has died. 😭 Suddenly, she was not sick, she died in her sleep, coroner says it was a hard attack - I think she died from sorrow and decided it´s time to move.
That topic is a swamp-topic, so I´ll stick to the COVID theme here.

We´ve traveled from Bonn, with one-stop, no one asked us anything, only checked our personal ID on borders.
In Croatia, all restrictions were lifted from Friday last week, so we managed to have a normal funeral on Friday.
When I came here it was like another reality on several levels; from plandemic point of view - here when you walk through the city - like nothing ever happened.
No masks anywhere, people are sitting in the sun outside the bars, in the stores, no one wears the mask.
Only in some bigger stores, you can see clerks wearing masks. Only people I saw with masks are Asians, and it was 2 people in these 10 days.
At the funeral, people were acting normal; hugging, griefing, they were close to each other, no masks,...

People we used to hang out is quite an "alternative crowd" (don´t know how else to describe them). No one I talked to, thinks that this plandemic is a real thing. They are furious and basically this all topic ended after 2 sentences like: "Don´t even mention this c****p!" and "This is unbelievable!"
So I´m kinda proud of my little town and seeing 15-20 people in one place, not buying MSM. Ok, the sources they follow are questionable and we didn´t go much into that, but the point is that they are not complete sheeple. :-)

And then I had a video call with parents and teacher from my son´s 4th class; after cca 7 days completely out of this plandemic stuff, hearing the teacher and parents talking about social distancing and how we cannot plan a farewell party for the kids, it was like a cold shower.
At one point I told them that here in Croatia everything is normal, like nothing happened, and told them that it is still 3 weeks until the end of the school year and that the restrictions should/might be lifted by then.
They all were looking at me like I fell from Mars and just shook their heads in disbelief that stuff will change.
The teacher, of course, is allowed to do as the principal said and the principal is acting as the ministry says.😩

What to say....

Has this article been posted before? I'm a dozen or so pages behind so I don't know. Sorry if I'm causing noise.

'It's Just the Flu, It's All BS' - Russia's Top Official COVID Doctor Admits in Bombshell Invu

“It’s all exaggerated. It’s an acute respiratory disease (i.e. the flu) with minimal mortality. Why has the whole world been destroyed? That I don’t know.”

Here is the full article:

A coworker told me this week that a close family friend had died from Covid. He was 49. I asked if he died FROM Covid, or did he have other health problems before. She admitted that he had other health issues. I suggested that anyone with ongoing health issues already has a weakened immune system, so that when another problem such as Covid or flu happens, it's too much. And then I used my coworker's mother (who is in her 80s) as an example of good health. The woman walks five miles every day, eats a healthy diet, is normal weight. She hasn't been sick. My coworker understood and thanked me for reminding her of these things.

The same thing happened to Prof. Bhakdi, who wrote a book (German) with his wife about the plandemic (and also proves in it that a vaccine will definitely NOT work for Corona, all other issues with vaccines aside). 'Expert authority' has come to mean simply, 'anyone who agrees with the globalist narrative'. Even credentials don't matter anymore. All that counts is that the authorized position is stated. A journalist with pink hair and a BA in unicorn studies is therefore considered more authoritative on a scientific question, than a scientist who has spent his life working in that specific field, if the journalist advances the narrative and the scientist critiques it.

Also, I guess Prof. Bhakdi's book remains censored? Presumably because there was no billionaire willing to go to bat for it.
