Travel disruption as storms hit southern Germany​

Several people have been injured and rail passengers are facing disruption following storms in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.

After a hot spell across the country, torrential rain and thunderstorms moved into the southern half of Germany on Thursday night, injuring at least 16 people.

Several trees came down at a campsite in Lindau on Lake Constance, resulting in six people getting injured, one of them seriously.

For security reasons the authorities cleared the site and around 900 campers spent the night in a public hall.

A campsite in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance was also evacuated, with around 300 people having to spend the night in a gym hall. No injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, 10 bikers were injured in Nördlingen during a motorcycle gathering, with three of them being taken to hospital. According to police, parts of a stage had come loose and had hit people at the meet-up held at the Nördlinger airfield.

According to German Weather Service (DWD) forecasts, hail and heavy gusts of wind up to 100 kilometers per hour may strike in both regions on Friday and Saturday.

We've had ~2 months of 100+ degree weather in southeast Texas with no rain, and none in the forecast, or if they do forecast it, nothing appears. However, yesterday afternoon around 4:30 PM, a storm with ferocious winds kicked up with absolutely NO warnings - nothing forecasted, nothing on radar. It was such a surprise i tried to look online for news of a tornado, but of course the high winds kicked out the power almost immediately. What is also strange, is that it only affected a few mile radius. We did get a few precious moments of rain before the storm moved on. The streets are littered with all the baked to death leaves, pine needles and branches that were in the trees.

I don't remember seeing this kind of wicked storm come so suddenly out of clear skies - and this made me think about the hyperdimensional battles the C's mentioned as being behind some weather - I could believe it! Or...the secret government is playing with its toys and needed something to amuse themselves on a boring Thursday afternoon. :-/:-(. Have not seen any videos posted online - perhaps because it was so localized.

While there was some rain early on in Mallorca in Sunday, things were generally quite calm. This was before a storm suddenly hit. Heavy rain and hail were accompanied by strong gusts of wind. In the north of the island, around 11.15, the storm seemed to emerge from nowhere - the sky went darker, and the rain was almost horizontal.

Various parts of the island have been affected. In Palma and parts of Calvia, there has been flooding. Trees have been brought down. From Valldemossa in the Tramuntana across to Colonia Sant Jordi in the southeast there have been incidents. In Puerto Soller, almost 60 litres of rain per square metre fell by 11.30.

Seems like Mecca is becoming a crazy weather center of the Middle East💁‍♂️

The other day, a hurricane and torrential rain covered Mecca - people were literally blown off their feet.

Hundreds of people fled in panic in search of shelter, had to dodge heavy structures. Metal barriers and billboards were torn down. There are flashes right there. Lightning struck the clock tower of the tallest skyscraper in Mecca. And — sheets of rain. Roads flooded in a matter of hours.
