Éiriú-Eolas - Breathing Program

Thebull, if you want to have more time to work through what is coming up in your dreams, you can omit the beatha part of the program for however long you think is best until things settle down a bit. Then, once things are a bit more quiet, you can start it back up, slowly if you want.

I do think until recently I haven't comprehended or understood the powerful effects of the beatha section of the program. I only do this twice a week while practicing the full program. I am aware and will be more vigilant in my reactions when I am practicing the full program and I will omit this part if I feel it is necessary. It is typical of me going in full throttle and maybe easing off would be beneficial at times.

I have found reading and been involved on the forum regularly over a number of months has had a profound effect on me. I thought I had accepted events in my life (in the past) and moved on. Though over the last few months I think learning here and practicing EE has given me clarity on why the events in my past actually happened. Then the knowledge written here in the various threads has assisted me to look back at my life with clarity. I know now when I was younger I was emotionally wounded and I don't think I would have realized this without been here. The EE will probably bringing up those emotions again and helping me process them. Maybe now for the first time I am taking full responsibility for my actions in the past.

So thinking about it, this has been an intense period for me and maybe it is time to reflect.

I would like to second this. Even though I've been practicing EE since the start, I go through very long periods (even years) of omitting the beatha part of the programme - it is just too intense for me. You may like to take things slowly and become used to, comfortable with, the rest of the programme and ocassionally test resuming back with beatha.

This may help or not.

Yeah, that's the good thing to keep in mind. If you can't process emotional releases and the like fast enough, you can just skip the round breathing altogether for a while. When trying it again, if it's still "too much", you can do only part of the round breathing (for example, skip the fastest part) maybe once a week or two, etc. It's quite flexible really, so you can experiment and see what's appropriate so as not to make the releases overwhelming and give yourself to process and work through it all.

Thanks for all the suggestions I'll definitely take them into account. I have found it suprising the intense effects of the beatha section and I certainly will need to reevaluate how I proceed with the program.

Hello everyone !!! I like tell you my experience with EE. First I would like to thank Laura and the team for the program of breathing, it is a good way of dealing with everyday problems (stress) in a very good way. Well, wanted to tell my experience: The last time i practice EE were very good, i sense that small point (sometimes cold sometimes hot) on my forehead, not only happens when I meditate but also when I'm reading or concentrated in some thought. During the Bah-Ha start seeing bright yellow circles, circles that come behind my eyes and begin to move forward into a point, like passing through some sort of tunnel. also started to see small colored lights are dancing with each other to become a very strong light, i seen and felt like turning inside a tunnel at high speed (an experience that sometimes makes me dizzy a little). Sentimentally i feel a totally positive change, Inclusive also when any situation where my stress levels are very high occurs (i´m still learning how deal with it). Anyway, I wanted to bring a little with my experiences, again, thank you !!!!

David_posse,

Good to hear you are doing well on EE and thanks for the description of your experience.

A word of caution, though - what you describe could well be a symptom of hyperventilation, especially if you are feeling dizzy. So maybe you need to go a little bit easier on the Ba-ha portion, because symptomatic hyperventilation is not the aim of this program - unlike a few other breathing programs out there.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention this.

Yes, remember during the Ba-Ha (beatha/round breathing) to do the breathing in a gentle manner - don't breathe forcefully/hard. You don't need to fill your lungs up, especially during the faster breathing. The point is to breathe gently in and out without a pause in between. Try to stay as relaxed as possible.

Thanks Nicklebleu and Nienna for your answer, in fact the feeling is more like to be "floating", as this I would like to tell also that the breath I make in a calm manner without forcing myself. Something that surprised me is my respiratory capacity, in the past when holdingmy breath for a few seconds was hard, but now is much easier! :)

Yup, doing EE regularly increases lung capacity in a big way. I had to slow the counting for pipe breathing way down in the last several years. I still to 6-in, 3-hold, 9-out, but count way slower. It's also good to do some pipe breathing on its own once or twice a day, outside of doing the EE program.

hello Everyone:
I like to report my latest experience with EE program, lately I've been feeling that there is someone or some thing just in front of me,( I like to close my eyes when I do the Bah-Ha round breading ), I just sense that someone is there, I can't see it, have any of you felt anything like it? :scared:

any thoughts?

How exactly did it feel like and came up any pictures, memories etc.? And happened it more than one time?

Xico, does it make you feel panic? I ask, because I had some experiences of a presence being there at night in the last 1,5 months - at least one time it happened in a night directly after a full EE session. The other two times it happened in connection to really horrid dreams. It was just terrible, with a sense of overwhelming fear rushing through me (I had resorted to POTS in these cases).

But independently from that, there may be the following possibilities:
Maybe it is something (a sort of attachment) you are becoming aware of? Or it is something just being processed, that takes the form of a "presence"?
Another possibility, that I just can circumscribe with my own experience: Sometimes I feel a warm and loving "presence", when doing POTS especially. When this happens, I am thinking about DCM connecting with me or myself becoming aware to my connection with DCM. FWIW...

Hello:

I don't feel panicky per say, but there is just this feeling... also I've been having some really disturbing dreams as well, and believe me I force my self to wake up, because these nightmares are really vivid.
and perhaps like you said, this could be an attachment. :scared:

thank you so much for your response. :)
