As Gurdjieff said, one's understanding is limited/enhanced by one's level of being. As knowledge/level of being/experiences increase, the "new" you can make more connections. Going back over material that I thought I "knew", I realize how much I missed on the first (or second, etc.) reading. Life, in part, seems to be a delicate balance between having new experiences and revisiting/refreshing old ones. An ascending spiral is a good analogy. Studies of the brain have shown that the more a given neuron is used/activated, the more connections it makes to other neurons.
In one of Rodney Collins' books, he even talks about "changing the past". An individual's past consists of experiences and memories of those experiences, stored in the brain and in cellular memory, not to mention the soul itself. If one can change one's relation to a past experience (from negative to neutral, or positive), one can literally change one's past. I have experienced great relief in mending both present and past relationships, even with those who have passed on. This may be happening, on various levels, with hypnotic regression therapy, good psychotherapy, Cellular Memory Release, and even the EE Program.
What seems to make the EE Program so effective is that, as the C's say, "it will enable us (the Cs) to insert frequency modulation directly between the layers of sound." Cass Transcript 9/13/09.
