The influence of Islam on the architecture of southern Spain (Andalucia): Mudéjar Art

The disparity between the beauty of Islamic architecture and the religion (as per what the Cs mentioned in this session):
(L) ...Now, this guy Peter Townsend - says that Mecca didn't exist and that Islam as a religion started out in very strange ways. Basically, he says that Islam is not a very friendly religion according to his way of thinking... Aside from the teachings in Islam that all other religions are wrong and only Muslims are right, and Muslims are entitled to kill non-believers, he's basically suggesting that inherent in Islam is a corruption, that the religion itself is inherently bad...I mean, Christianity and Judaism are both pretty bad in some ways. So, I don't see... Is Islam inherently corrupt and a bad influence in general?

A: Consider carefully the developmental pathways of the three test cases. First you have Judaism. It began as a widespread cult of comet/storm god worship. It was reformulated to meet the needs of a dispossessed people and encourage solidarity among them. Christianity had a dual beginning. First was an apocalyptic cult of intolerance and violence. Second was a message of spiritual transformation based on the life of an extraordinary man full of mercy. Islam is the miscegenation of the worst of both. How can there be any positive elements out of complete falsehood?

Plato is referenced in FPTM by way of the influence of Middle Platonists as part of the intellectual environment that influenced the Gnostics and Paul:
We have already discussed Well's take on Paul's theology in our discussion of the early documents of Christianity. As he points out, the highly developed angelology of Jewish literature of the time clearly influenced Paul, who not only believed in angels, including Satan and the demons, but also the multi-layered universe. This was part of the intellectual environment of the Zoroastrians the Enochians, and the Middle Platonists , who apparently influenced the development of Gnosticism - and Paul." ~ FPTM, pg 235

A discussion of the word "stampede' in the latest session, and placematt reads a part of Topper's precis on Stalking- Precis on the Good and The Evil:
What is the designed objective of this STALKING? It is two-fold. First, the effect of Stalking is sort of like stampeding a herd of cattle. Bit by bit, they are consolidated into a "negative mode" which consists of the idea of "us vs. them."

Even though, on the surface, it may seem that this "mode" is positive or STO, (i.e. save the world because it is "wrong" or flawed, or blighted with original sin or whatever) the very fact that it is formed in the "dominator" mode of perceiving salvation "outside," means that it can more easily be "taken over" body, mind and soul at a level that is "unseen and unseeable." In other words: Satan CAN and most often DOES appear as an Angel of Light!

Hi everyone,

The Am-EU group finishes Chapter 18 and Chapter 19 of Dr. Andrew's Łobaczewski's Logocracy: A Concept of the State System (translation by Harrison). Turgon has collated the audio and video for this meeting.

Logocracy - Chapter 18: The Executive

A nation with a dominating partisan government is not in alignment with natural law, for the executive must be able to represent all citizens. Ministers should be chosen not based on party affiliation, but on skill and merit. Solely having partisan politics naturally pit one against the other, creating lack of rapport and cooperation.

In comparison to western governments where inefficiencies are rife, the author looks to more efficient government systems such as the one in Switzerland, where they operate on the principle of cooperation between various social groups in that each has shared power. This provides a moderating factor and a relatively less grating environment in their political sphere, improving sanity for all political parties.

Logocracy must become a system capable of efficient action in all countries, including those which have recently become independent, or those which have experienced a historical cataclysm and are therefore lacking in moderating factors, traditions, and experience. It is therefore necessary to find a way of forming a government which, thanks to its foundation in the natural characteristics of societies, is always capable of acting efficiently and righteously.

On nations experiencing a "historical cataclysm", Turgon states that society goes through trauma and forgets itself, resulting in a severance of a nation's people with its past values. Breo adds that a series of many small traumas can be as impactful as one large trauma event.

Those with selfish goals are also regularly rewarded, creating a system that isn't for and of the people. Logocracy aims to safeguard the public against this degradation in the public sphere by, with the help of scientific research, create guidelines for ministers based on skill and character.

A logocratic executive will consist of a prime minister its supporting ministers/secretaries:
  • Political - elected by the PM and parliament to positions such as Interior, Foreign Affairs, Defense, Treasury, Industry & Trade, Agriculture, Communications, and Health and Welfare.
  • Representative - ministers elected by independent powers such as Justice, Science, Education, and the Directorate of Social Goods.
  • Regional - ministers elected by the head of state and senate from a pool usually consisting of former ministers that are in charge of regions.
Ministers would work autonomously and be open to network with others to solve issues of importance. There will also be open transparency with the public as they work on these issues of state.

Logocracy - Chapter 19: The Judiciary

Łobaczewski, in keeping with his theme of not throwing the baby out with the bath water, states that the law is evolutionary—it cannot be completely demolished with a new system taking its place. Rather, the law should follow logocratic principles and modern scientific understandings of human nature, especially psychopathology. A type of law that would see benefit are ones regarding family, as understanding personality disorders helps to raise better children and solve familial disputes.

Pragmatically, this means that there must be additional criteria for soon-to-be lawyers and judges such as educational backgrounds in medicine, technology, philosophy, education, and/or psychology—particularly biohumanistic understanding of people and the aforementioned knowledge of personality disorders.

The judiciary will largely take over the role regarding clemency, but the head of state will still be able to have these powers. Pardons will be decided upon the merits on a case-by-case basis. Lobaczewski states that "Forgiveness can be, in certain psychological and political situations, the most effective means for the improvement of a person." Punishment must also be done on a case-by-case basis, for psychopaths do not respond well to it, while others, depending on the method, would instill remorse and reformation, creating more up-standing citizens.

Structurally, the judiciary will be able to elect a minister of justice with presidential approval. The institution would be able to suggest candidates for senate, head of state, and head of government, as well as legislation.

Extras

For review, I will add definitions (from Wikipedia) for the following:
  1. Natural Law: "a system of law based on a close obesrvation of human nature, and based on values intrinsic to human nature that can be deduced and applied independently of positive law (the express enacted laws of a state or society)"
    1. In the hierarchy, natural law is above positive law.
  2. Positive Law: "human-made laws that oblige or specify an action. Positive law also describes the establishment of specific rights for an individual or group"

For Next Meeting - February 4th, 2024

We will begin with Logocracy - Chapter 20: The Science and Education Authority for the next meeting.
